So I’ve been writing on this blog for a while now, and to be honest it was a really nice experience, even though I know nobody read any of my writings I still find it fulfilling to have my own history get put somewhere for other to see.
Most of the articles I’ve been written are about ctf and writeups. Writing writeups are not bad or boring, it’s just I don’t feel I put much feeling and creativity in it. Plus I use LLM to make the writeups more “professional” and efficient.
Everything went smoothly, I enjoyed writing blog posts, I get to put my works on an online site. Until I saw a video on youtube about a developer who roasted other developer’s portfolio. It is a lighthearted video with jokes here and there but the things that he said got me thinking.
On his video he talked about how vibe coding is ruining a lot of developers' skill and understanding of their own field, he talked about AI slop and how generic and boring everything that made by AI.
His video got me thinking “Why did I even start writing blog posts?”. I use AI in my blog posts to speed up my writing but I missed the whole thing. I enjoy writing and sharing my work about programming with others. If I use AI to write it for me than what’s the point?
I never start this blog post to get a job, I do it for fun, for my own fulfillment. Sacrificing enjoynment for the sake of effectiveness is not what I need in this blog. There are things that are better be done with effectiveness and less enjoynment but this one is not it.
That’s it for now. I will start writing from the bottom of my heart from now on.
